Brown Sugar Lip Scrub

I love this brown sugar lip scrub. It feels really amazing.

This brown sugar lip scrub removes dead skin, great for chapped lips and leaves your lips feeling super soft. I use this scrub once a week on my lips (sometimes a little more often during this cold time of the year).

Home Made Vaporizing Shower Cubes

Cold season is upon us. I love these home made vaporizing shower cubes. These awesome Vaporizing Shower Cubes come from smart school house. I am sure you have seen a bunch of different ones floating around on Pinterest.

They are all basically made the same way. I like with these you can already use the baby VapoRub quickening the time.

They are perfect for this time and especially during sinus time. Make some today and keep them on hand.

Whipped Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

I was on Pinterest and saw this great idea for a whipped gingerbread sugar scrub. I have been making a lot of my own sugar scrubs lately and enjoy doing so. I like that I can use all natural products to make these scrubs.

When I saw this one I instantly thought what a great teacher gift for the holiday season. Since most of these ingredients are already in your pantry this is super easy to mix up.

I bet these scrubs smell amazing as well.

Use two different sizes of Ball jars, the 8 oz. and the 12 oz., and filled them 3/4 full of sugar.

I then added Dawn dish soap (the pink kind with with Olay Beauty Hand Renewal in it) until it reached just below the bottom of the mouth of the jar.

Stir the sugar and soap together….adding sugar a little at a time until it’s a paste-like consistency. You don’t want it to be too runny!

You can also add 4 to 5 drops of Lemon essential oil for its’ antibacterial and antiseptic properties.

Grapefruit Sugar Scrub

I really love making homemade body scrubs. Store bought scrubs are so nice but can get a little pricey. It is so easy to make your own at home. One of the things that I truly like about making them at home is that I can customize exactly what scents I want to make. Amazon is a great place to find many different kinds of essential oils to make homemade body scrubs. Simply search essential oils.

This great grapefruit scrub smells so good and so clean. Another big big win is that it is only 3 main ingredients. Making this one really easy. Emma over at craftinge shared this scrub. She is a 16 year old blogger who is amazing 🙂

I also love to make homemade scrubs to give away as gifts in some cute jars especially with the holiday season fast approaching. Do you like to make scrubs? Drop a comment and let us know what kind of scrubs you like to make.

Snow Cone Sugar Scrub Recipe

These little Snow Cone Sugar Scrubs are just so so cute. These Snow Cone Sugar Scrubs are made with coconut oil and sugar. This is from The Gunny Sack and I always find so many great body scrubs over there.

For each color, mix together 3 tablespoons coconut oil and 2 teaspoons almond oil. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar to each.

Add a couple of drops of flavored oil for scent and a drop or two of food coloring to tint the sugar scrub. I put watermelon oil in the pink sugar scrub, lime oil in the green sugar scrub and raspberry in the blue sugar scrub.

Tilt a small jar (I used Kerr 8 oz jars Kerr Half-Pint Wide Mouth) to the side and spoon in the colored sugar scrub, one layer at a time. The coconut oil might return to a solid form, but the sugar scrub will soften in your hands or you can add a little warm water to the scrub one it is in your hands. It makes your legs and feet feel amazingly smooth! Just be careful though, because products containing oil can make the shower/tub slippery!
